It’s almost time… we now have our bikes!
This morning we got the tour group together for our initial briefing. There are 7 client riders – Tony and Angie from Canada; Bernd from Germany; and Chris, David, Don and me from Australia – and our two guides/chaperones, Pieter from Belgium, and Felix (call me Fiz) from Spain.
After the briefing, we piled into the van and headed over to the bike depot. Paperwork and handovers were smooth and simple and we made our way calmly back to the hotel. Riding on the right side of the road now feels almost natural after so many tours, and the big BMW is such an easy bike to ride.
We are now parked up at the hotel, ready to hit the road tomorrow at 8am.
